Friday is another First Alert Weather Day, with sunny and pleasant afternoons. However, it is the overnight lows that have triggered the alert.

Following a busy Thursday, the sun has finally reappeared to conclude the work week. In the afternoon of Friday, high temperatures will reach the range of the mid to upper 50’s.

The winds will gradually decrease throughout the day and become calm overnight. However, this is when the freezing temperatures will start. A Freeze Warning will be in effect from midnight on Friday until 9 a.m. on Saturday for the Denver metro area and the Interstate 25 corridor extending into eastern Colorado.
The crop or other delicate vegetation may be killed by the frost and freeze, posing a risk of damage to any exposed outdoor plumbing.

Areas under the warning can expect overnight lows to plummet to 25 degrees.

After temperatures rise above freezing, the state will experience a delightful weekend. On Saturday, temperatures will gradually increase to the upper 50s, and by Sunday, they will climb even higher, approaching the 70s once again.
