Regular poker tournaments are now ramping up at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Atlantic City’s largest poker room is hosting an event almost every day during January.
In the Garden State, only three Atlantic City casinos offer legal poker rooms. Tournaments only run at the Borgata, but cash games operate 24/7 at the following casinos:
- – Borgata (52 tables)
- – Harrah’s Hotel (28 tables)
- – Tropicana Atlantic City (10 tables)
Borgata internet hosting over 70 poker competitions
Borgata is currently running numerous tournaments every day, and buy-ins range from $150 to $560. Players can find tournaments scheduled at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, except on Saturdays and Sundays. Some highlights of the schedule include:
- Tuesday: $150 NLH Big Bunch Turbo Bounty at 6 p.m., hosted by Double Green Chip
- Wednesday: $230 NLH Survivor Bounty at 6 p.m.
- Thursday: $225 NLH KO Turbo at 6 p.m., hosted by Black Chip Bounty
- Friday: Super Stack at 11 a.m., with the buy-in varying each week

Borgata Survivor Series
The Borgata Poker Survivor Series is back in May. The tournaments will run from February 13 to 17, and the Survivor Series includes eight different tournaments with poker buy-ins ranging from $125 to $450. In a Survivor event, once players reach the money, the prize pool is divided equally among the remaining players, and the tournament concludes.
$60, 1000 Beat the Troubles High Side weekend
With cash participants in mind, Borgata will have a High Hand bonus weekend on Feb. 24-25. From 10 a.m. to midnight, the poker room will give out hot cash for High Hands. A total of $60,000 will be awarded over the two days.
- $1K for the first hour, $250 every 15 minutes. Repeat the cycle for hours four to six.
- $2K for the second hour, $500 every 15 minutes. Repeat the cycle for hours seven to nine.
- $3K for the third hour, $1,000 every 15 minutes. Repeat the cycle for hours ten to twelve.
- Grand finale hour: $1K for the first 20 minutes, $2K for the next 20 minutes, $3K for the final 20 minutes.
The Borgata Bad Beat Jackpot was $100K as of February 1. To qualify for the bad beat, players must have four of a kind, 10s or better, and use two cards from their hand. The loser of the hand receives 40% of the jackpot, the winning hand receives 20%, and the remaining players dealt into the hand share the remaining 40%.
Typically the Return Ocean City holdem poker tournament wrap-up
It had been a long-awaited moment for poker players to participate in a major series again. The Borgata recently hosted the return of a live poker series from Jan. 4-8. The series generated over $4 million in guaranteed payouts.
The Return attracted numerous players to the popular East Coast casino poker room throughout the week. Bin Weng from Philadelphia emerged as the Main Event champion, adding $1 million to his bankroll.
“It means a lot,” Weng said during the BetMGM stream after his win. “I’m very happy to return to the Borgata, one of the best places. I love the Borgata and used to play here a lot before the pandemic. I’m just so excited right now, almost speechless. I’m just so eager to take it all in.”

January Harrah’ beds Atlantic Metropolis poker advertisements
No tournaments, but poker cash games are available daily at Harrah’s Atlantic City. Caesars Rewards members have the opportunity to earn comp time by playing at the tables. Harrah’s offers monthly rakeback for dedicated players. Rakeback is a system where players receive monthly cash based on the number of hours played at the tables:
- 50-79 hours: $50
- 80-99 hours: $100
- 100-149 hours: $150
- 150-199 hours: $250
- 200+ hours: $300
The High Hand promotions for the month remain the same and include:
- $300 high hand every hour with a rollover (every day except Wednesday)
- $250 on Wednesdays every 30 minutes, but if the High Hand is a royal flush, the prize is doubled.
- Royal flush anytime using two cards in hand earns a $100 comp.

Tropicana Holdem poker Club has returned
Following some engineering this past winter, the Tropicana AC poker room is now up and running again. The Tropicana is the only casino along the AC Boardwalk with a poker room.
