What’s happening next? This question pertains to all three of Caesars Entertainment’s Atlantic City casinos. There are numerous projects on the to-do list, with something new debuting every month.
Recently, The Chicken Guy, the fast-casual concept by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, opened at Harrah’s Resort. In August, celebrity chef Bobby Flay also visited the Marina District property for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Bobby’s Burger.
Meanwhile, Tropicana Atlantic City and the flagship Caesars AC are not being overlooked. Nicole Koster, the regional president of Caesars Entertainment’s Eastern Division, is busy overseeing all the developments. When all is said and done, over 2,150 rooms and suites will receive upgrades, and 16 new dining and entertainment venues will be introduced. Additionally, there are plans for casino floor renovations at Caesars and the Tropicana.
During a recent visit to Harrah’s Resort, PlayNJ had the opportunity to speak with Koster about the ongoing developments in the Atlantic City market.
Showing off Caesars Entertainment’ beds $400 zillion master schedule
In September 2021, the parent company announced a $400-million master plan for the Atlantic City market. While the details were initially vague, it included plans for remodeled room towers, games floor enhancements and new restaurants and amenities. The target completion date for these projects is set for 2023.
Among the completed projects so far is the renovated pool deck at Caesars AC. There are still pending upgrades, including the opening of a new Starbucks outlet (targeted for mid-November), as well as improvements to the hotel lobby and valet parking access.
Hell’ beds Kitchen, Nobu opening proper soon located at Caesars
Of all the new additions coming to Atlantic City from Caesars Entertainment this year, Hell’s Kitchen is one of the most highly anticipated. Named after the Fox reality TV show, it will be the third Atlantic City concept from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Caesars AC is also hosting the East Coast debut of Hell’s Kitchen.
Caesars Entertainment recently announced in a press release that the restaurant is now accepting reservations through OpenTable, with a grand opening scheduled for mid-September. The winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 21 will become the executive chef. The season premiere is set for September 29.
Koster also hinted at the addition of a new gaming area that will be themed after a specific restaurant. Nobu is slated for a mid-October opening, and the completion of the Nobu hotel located in the Century Tower is expected by the end of this year. The new suites are likely to follow in early 2023.
Typically the Nero’ beds closing gossip are valid
Earlier this summer, rumors began circulating that the popular Nero’s Italian Steakhouse at Caesars AC would be closing around Labor Day weekend. Nero’s was known for offering delicious fine-dining with a view of the Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean, and it was a popular spot for Sunday wine brunches.
Unfortunately, the rumors turned out to be true, and Nero’s closed for good over Labor Day weekend. However, the opening of Hell’s Kitchen and Nobu, as well as the presence of Morton’s Steakhouse near the valet entrance, offer exciting dining options for guests. Additionally, Caesars Entertainment has plans for a new Italian cuisine concept in the Wild Wild West Casino space in 2023, although details have not been announced yet.
While some customers may be disappointed about the closure of Nero’s, Caesars is committed to providing a variety of dining experiences that cater to different tastes and preferences. The new Italian restaurant will be part of the Spiegelworld footprint, which is a new live year-round entertainment production set to debut next year
What’ s the most up-to-date on the Tropicana dining scenario?
Earlier this year, Caesars Entertainment released eight fresh dining/entertainment aspects penciled for Tropicana.
Old Honey Smokehouse and Pub, a BBQ restaurant, and Membru Japanese Pub are now open in Atlantic City. The next opening is Purple Zerba, a daiquiri bar located in the former Beach Cafe space, which opened on September 2nd. Hash House A Go Go, known for its twisted farm food and crafted drinks, is also open and located next to Purple Zerba, just off the Boardwalk.
Next on the list is the reimagined Il Verde, which will be located in the former Olon space and will offer a beautiful view of the Boardwalk and the ocean. The opening is targeted for later this fall.
Once Il Verde is up and running, the focus will shift to Hawthorne & Cork, described as an intimate and refined new signature bar and lounge experience.
As of now, Gin Rickey’s, a dueling piano bar, is expected to open later this month in the Quarter.
These new dining and entertainment options offer a diverse range of experiences for visitors to Atlantic City.
Harrah’ s Hotel is ‘ filling some sort of niche’
Harrah’s Atlantic City is known for its impressive group facilities, particularly the Waterfront Conference Center, which attracts a significant amount of business. Additionally, The Pool serves as both a pool and a night club, adding to the property’s entertainment offerings.
Recently, the hotel rooms in the Beach Tower have been enhanced to provide an upgraded experience for guests. The former Beach Buffet space, which did not reopen after the pandemic closure, has been replaced by Bobby’s Burgers. This marks Bobby Flay’s return to Atlantic City following the closure of his previous restaurant, Bobby Flay Steak, at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. The addition of Bobby’s Burgers fills a gap in the property’s dining options.
Upcoming additions to the property include another Purple Zebra location, scheduled to open in late October, and Jade Street, a quick-service Asian food concept, coming soon.
It’s worth noting that despite the opening of Bobby’s Burgers, the AC Burger Company will continue to operate. According to Nicole Koster, the two establishments cater to different preferences and will not directly compete with each other.
Overall, these developments enhance the dining and entertainment offerings at Harrah’s Atlantic City, providing guests with a variety of options to enjoy during their stay.
What happens when Caesars Leisure checklist is without a doubt complete
Caesars Entertainment’s plans for the HVAC market include introducing new resort rooms, updating casino floors, and opening new restaurants. However, Nicole Koster acknowledges that there is another important step after completing all the renovations: making people aware of the changes.
Koster believes that some people may have previously felt that Caesars’ offerings in Atlantic City were not up to par. With the renovations and updates, the goal is to reactivate Caesars and showcase the improvements to attract both new and former Caesars players.
Former Caesars players who have been frequenting other Atlantic City casinos will be welcomed back to Caesars. The aim is to reintroduce them to the revitalized Caesars experience in Atlantic City and highlight the positive changes that have been made.
By showcasing the enhancements and improvements, Caesars Entertainment hopes to attract both new and returning guests and demonstrate the renewed offerings at Caesars in Atlantic City.
