As guests walk through Tropicana Atlantic City this summer, they will notice an array of new dining and entertainment options. Several restaurant spaces that had been closed since the global pandemic began will be reopening with completely new concepts.
By early 2022, there will be a total of eight new dining and entertainment offerings. Parent company Caesars Entertainment made the exciting announcement today through a press release. It’s always a great idea to refresh a property, especially one that celebrated its 40th anniversary just last year.
These new additions and enhancements are part of Caesars Entertainment’s commitment to invest $400 million into their Atlantic City resorts by 2023.

The 6 new dining places, entertainment ideas coming to Tropicana
When examining the new dining and entertainment offerings at Tropicana Atlantic City, the range of options is impressive. Guests can look forward to BBQ, Japanese cuisine, a farm-to-table experience, and even a lively sing-along bar with dueling pianos.
And that’s just the beginning.
“Building on Tropicana’s success over the past four decades, we are thrilled to go all-in on this investment in our incredible resort destination, our team members, and the community we serve, as we introduce an unparalleled ten new dining offerings and additional transformative gaming enhancements this year,” explains Jacqueline Grace, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Tropicana Atlantic City.
Here are more details about each of the new concepts debuting at the Trop.
Ossu Western Tavern
Taking over the space previously occupied by Jose Garces’ Okatshe, Membru is a contemporary Japanese pub experience with a redesigned entrance. The restaurant offers a modern twist on Japanese street food, focusing on small plates, sushi, and yakitori.
In addition, Membru will feature a selection of over 50 Japanese whiskeys, along with an assortment of specialty sakes and a Japanese-themed craft cocktail program.
The operating hours for Membru (beginning July 29) are as follows:
Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. (includes DJ entertainment from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.)
Outdoors Honey Smokehouse and Pub
One of the new additions to The Quarter, Wild Honey Smokehouse and Bar, is filling the space previously occupied by RiRa. It is a 3,000 square-foot BBQ restaurant that celebrates and elevates traditional American comfort foods. The bar program features a diverse beverage list, modern large-format cocktails, and a selection of double-barrel smoked cocktails.
The operating hours for Wild Honey are as follows:
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Monday – Thursday: 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday: 4 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 1 a.m.
Hash Home A Go Get
If the brand sounds familiar, it’s because there is another location in the Moorestown Mall. Hash House A Go Go is known for its twisted farm food and signature crafted drinks with a “Midwest twist.” The restaurant is moving into a prime location just off the Atlantic City Boardwalk, previously occupied by the Verbena Buffet and Seaside Cafe. It is now open for business.
The operating hours, as stated on the Tropicana AC website, are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
Purple Zebra
Taking over another half of the Coastline Cafe, Magenta Zebra can be a daiquiri standard. The space may have frontage in order to both The Current market at the Tropicana and Boardwalk. Now available.
Gin Rickey’ s
Juno is a 2021 coming-of-age film directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. It stars Ellen Page as the title character, Juno MacGuff, a teenager who becomes pregnant and decides to give the baby up for adoption. The film follows Juno as she navigates her pregnancy, relationships, and the complexities of growing up. It was nominated for multiple Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won the award for Best Original Screenplay. The Royce Social Corridor
The Tony Awards, also known as the Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Broadway Theatre, are annual awards that recognize achievement in live Broadway theatre. The awards were first presented in 1947 and are named after Antoinette Perry, a prominent actress, director, and co-founder of the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards are considered one of the highest honors in the theater industry and cover categories such as Best Play, Best Musical, Best Revival, and Best Performance by an Actor/Actress. The awards ceremony is typically held in June and showcases performances from nominated shows. The winners are selected by a panel of theater professionals, journalists, and members of the Broadway community.
Arianne Verdi
Tropicana AC regulars are familiar with Il Verdi, which is highly regarded as one of the best overall dining establishments in Atlantic City according to OpenTable. This Italian restaurant has been serving traditional Italian cuisine, including homemade pasta and other Italian specialties, since the opening of the Tropicana. However, starting later this year, Il Verdi will be undergoing a transformation as it takes over the space previously occupied by Jose Garces’ Olon. The new venue will feature a beautiful beachfront location and a stylish design that offers timeless elegance and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The concept and ambiance of the new Il Verdi will draw inspiration from the coastal regions of Italy, particularly the Amalfi Coast. The restaurant is set to open this fall, offering guests a fresh and unique dining experience.
Hawthorne & Natural
With Il Verdi moving to a new location, there will be a temporary vacancy in that space. However, that gap will soon be filled by Hawthorne & Cork, a new bar and lounge experience described as “personal and sophisticated.” Guests can expect a curated selection of bespoke cocktails, fine wines, and spirits, all served with personalized service. Hawthorne & Cork aims to create an upscale and refined atmosphere for guests to enjoy. The bar and lounge are set to open this fall, offering a unique and elegant destination within Tropicana Atlantic City.
Part of Caesars Entertainment’ s i9000 $400-million programs
Caesars Entertainment has an ambitious $400-million plan for the Atlantic City market, with Tropicana AC being a part of it. The plan includes various enhancements and additions across the properties, such as:
– $170 million invested in room and suite improvements at all properties.
– The introduction of NOBU Hotel Atlantic City.
– A new show by Spiegelworld set to debut in 2023 at Caesars Atlantic City.
– The addition of “Hell’s Kitchen” by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Added Tropicana Ocean City enhancements
The Tropicana AC press release also highlighted several gaming enhancements that aim to create a futuristic casino experience. These include:
– The introduction of a new Caesars Rewards experience center that integrates digital and in-person gaming. This center will feature both tablets and a dedicated Caesars Sportsbook application area, allowing guests to engage in a variety of gaming activities. Self-service kiosks will be available for checking healthcare credentials and card printing, and there will be a state-of-the-art video wall.
– The addition of 240 new games, including over 200 new titles, to the gaming floor. This expansion aims to provide guests with a diverse and exciting selection of gaming options.
– The revamping of the entire gambling floor, including the installation of new carpets, to enhance the overall guest experience.
