In April 2023, Naveen Dhaliwal became a part of the CBS New York team as a versatile general assignment reporter responsible for covering various stories in the tri-state area.
Before joining CBS New York, Naveen worked as a reporter at WABC-TV. In the Spring of 2022, she was the first to break the news about the series of attacks targeting South Asians. Naveen’s exceptional reporting during the July 2019 Manhattan blackout earned her an Emmy award.

Naveen, who later became a part of WABC-TV, previously held the position of morning show anchor at News 12 Westchester. She dedicated numerous hours to reporting from the news desk during intense snow storm events and the tragic MTA train crash that occurred in Valhalla back in 2015.
During her time at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, Naveen served as a reporter/fill-in anchor and also dedicated herself to storm chasing. Her commitment to covering breaking news and weather grew stronger throughout her three-year tenure in Oklahoma. Notably, she covered the destructive Moore and El Reno tornadoes in May 2013. Naveen spent countless hours immersing herself in the affected community, sharing stories of individuals enduring such challenging circumstances.
Naveen, a graduate of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, is also a licensed Speech Language Pathologist who completed her education at the University of North Dakota.
Naveen has a deep passion for traveling, reading, knitting, and baking. Additionally, she holds a profound affection for all animals.
Naveen hails from Winnipeg, Canada, and is proficient in speaking Punjabi fluently, as well as holding conversational skills in Hindi.
