JERSEY CITY, N.J. — The Pulaski Skyway will be completely closed this weekend for restoration work.
The Skyway closure, as stated by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, is scheduled to commence at 9 p.m. on Friday and conclude at 10 p.m. on Saturday. In the event that the work is finished ahead of schedule, the reopening of the Skyway will occur earlier.
Motorists are advised to utilize the Turnpike-Hudson County Extension, while all other drivers will be directed towards Route 1&9 Truck in both directions.
The closure on the northbound side will commence shortly after Newark Liberty International Airport. Traffic on the Route 1&9 Express Lanes will be redirected to the Local Lanes.
Starting at the Tonnele Circle, the closure on the southern section of Route 139 will commence. All vehicles traveling from Route 139 will be redirected to the off-ramp leading to I-280/Route 7 and Route 1&9 Truck going southbound.
