The Texas Rangers would like to turn things around and start this unique 2023 MLB season with a bang.
Playing at Globe Life Field at home, the Rangers aspire to book a complete season after having not done so in the last six years. They notched 68 victories last season, and the previous time the Rangers made a run was in the 2016 ALDS but were swept by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Manager Bruce Bochy brings expertise and a culture of winning to the team. The Rangers signed a five-year $185 million deal with Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom and have spent $750 million on contracts in the last two years, including contracts with Nathan Eovaldi, Andrew Heaney, and Martin Perez, with hopes that this refreshed pitching staff will make waves.
