The Mid-States Poker Tour is set to make three stops in Iowa this year.
Riverside Casino will host the Iowa State Poker Championship starting in May and the Mid-States Poker Tour Main Event in early November. The latter hosted a Mid-States Poker Tour stop in March, with 718 entries over the first two days. Jordan Berk emerged on top and won the $142,467 top prize just a few days after losing his regular job.
Grand Falls Casino will host its first Mid-States Main Event tournament in August.

It’s astonishing that online poker for real money is not legal in Iowa, while online sports betting is. It has been almost a decade since any significant legislation to legalize online poker has been considered. Currently, there is no effort being made by lawmakers to make online poker legal in Iowa.
Riverside Casino will host the Mid-States Poker Tour from Nov. 2 through Nov. 5. In May, Riverside will host the $300,000 guaranteed Iowa State Poker Championship (ISPC). The month-long event will begin on June 29 and continue through July 23.
The Main Event of the ISPC will take place over the final weekend of the Riverside stop.

Grand Declines Casino could host Mid-States Poker Expedition stop to obtain first time
Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood has not hosted a Mid-States Poker Tour stop.
That will change on Aug. 18, when the $200,000 Main Event begins. There is no schedule released at this time, but the event is set to conclude on Aug. 20.
Grand Falls has a private poker room with around 30 tables. Additionally, it has a sportsbook on its casino floor for any guests who would like to place wagers on sports while attending the poker event.
Silverado Traditional casino in Deadwood will lot the State Holdem poker Championship
The Mid-States Poker Tour will also make a stop in Deadwood, SD, this year. The Silverado Casino in Deadwood will host the $200,000 guaranteed South Dakota State Poker Championship in October. The event runs from Oct. 15 through Oct. 22.
Jon Grant Lincoln of Very G Investments is the new operator of the Silverado Casino, but hosting Mid-States Poker Tour events is nothing new for them. In the past year, this will be the fourth time the Silverado Casino has played host.
Hosting yet another Mid-States Poker Tour event is another sign that Deadwood continues to grow as gaming expands. To further emphasize the point, there is a new Hard Rock Rocksino opening this summer. Also, the state recently had another great month when it comes to total gaming handle, pushing South Dakota towards its most successful gaming year ever.
