For the second consecutive month, a lucky winner of the Michigan Lottery’s second-chance progressive jackpot claimed a prize exceeding $500,000. A resident of Kent County won $538,958 in the monthly drawing held on May 12. Entries for the drawings are earned by playing eligible monthly jackpot games on the Michigan Lottery website or app. This prize amount is the second-highest in just over a year since the inception of the drawing, with the highest amount being over $625,000 awarded last month.
Michigan Parte second probability jackpot success went by unlucky in order to lucky
The 60-year-old winner, who chose to remain anonymous, was aware that he was accumulating entries for the tournament but didn’t give much thought to actually winning. When he received a call from the Michigan Lottery informing him that he had won a $538,958 Monthly Jackpot Progressive prize, he initially thought it was a hoax. However, after receiving an email confirmation and speaking with a Lottery representative, he realized it was indeed real. He was extremely excited and shared the news with everyone he knows. The winner stated that he plans to pay off his house and save the remaining money.
How to enter into Michigan Lotto Second Probability Progressive Jackpot feature drawings
The Michigan Lottery introduced its second chance progressive jackpot drawings in March of 2022. Each month, select online Michigan Lottery games provide players with entries into the drawing.
For every $0.40 wagered on eligible games, players receive one entry. A portion of the wagers from each game contributes to funding the progressive jackpot.
The eligible games for May include Cash Vault, Viva Las Jackpots, Michigan Multiplier Wilds, Lucky Start, Mystery Vault, and May Jackpot.
Entries can be earned until the end of this month, with the next drawing scheduled for June 13th.
