However, when it comes to determining the largest casinos in Michigan, their sizes can vary significantly, with some being under 5,000 square feet. Currently, the state has five retail casinos that feature over 100,000 square feet of gaming floor. Let’s take a look at the five largest casino gaming floors in Michigan.
1 . Increasing Eagle Internet casino & Holiday resort
Located in Mount Pleasant at 6800 Soaring Eagle Blvd, Soaring Eagle Casino boasts the largest gaming floor in Michigan. According to Soaring Eagle, it features 210,000 square feet of gaming space. The casino offers a wide selection of gaming options, including over 3,310 slot machines and 70 table games. In addition to the classics, Soaring Eagle has a live poker room and a bingo hall. For sports enthusiasts, there is the Ascend Sportsbook, Soaring Eagle’s retail sportsbook offering in-person sports betting. Soaring Eagle also features a 516-room hotel and seven different restaurant and dining options. As of Monday, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is now available at Soaring Eagle. The resort is also known for its entertainment offerings, regularly hosting concerts and events, including an outdoor summer concert series.
2 . MGM Grand Of detroit
Michigan is home to a total of three retail casinos in Detroit. Among the three, the largest is the MGM Grand Detroit located at 1777 3rd Street.
With 147,000 square feet of gaming floor, the MGM Grand ranks second among all casinos in the state. On the casino floor, there are over 2,950 slots and table games to choose from. The MGM Grand Detroit also features a poker room and the BetMGM Sports Lounge, offering live betting through BetMGM Sportsbook.
A 400-room hotel is attached to the casino in downtown Detroit. The MGM Grand Detroit also offers a variety of dining options, including a food court.
The Event Center hosts concerts and performances by top comedians, while the TopGolf Swing Suite provides virtual golfing experiences.
3. Several Winds Betting house New Zoysia
Four Winds Casinos operates three retail casinos in Southern Michigan, with Four Winds Casino New Buffalo being the largest among them.
Located at 11111 Wilson Road in New Buffalo, Four Winds ranks third in size with 130,000 square feet of gaming floor. Inside the casino, there are over 2,000 different slot and table games to enjoy. Four Winds New Buffalo also features Four Winds Sportsbook, which is the only retail sportsbook among the three Four Winds casinos.
Connected to the New Buffalo location is a hotel with 415 guest rooms. Four Winds New Buffalo also offers several dining options and a market on-site.
Additionally, the Silver Creek Event Center at the New Buffalo location hosts regular live performances featuring popular artists from the past and present.
4. Firearm Lake Betting house
Located at 1123 129th Ave. in Wayland, Gun Lake Casino comes in third on our list with 108,500 square feet of gaming floor.
Gun Lake has a vast gaming library with over 2,500 slots and table games. It also features a poker room and a retail sportsbook called 131 Sportsbook.
Inside the casino, you can find four different dining options, including a buffet.
While Gun Lake doesn’t currently have a hotel, it is undergoing a large $300 million expansion project.
As part of the expansion, Gun Lake will be adding a 15-floor hotel and an Aquadome. The Aquadome will include three different indoor pools and will also serve as a concert venue.
The expansion is projected to be ready for guests in March of 2025.
5. FireKeepers Casino Typical hotel
Coming in at a close fifth is FireKeepers Casino Hotel located at 11177 E Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek.
FireKeepers features 107,000 square feet of gaming floor.
Like the others on this list, FireKeepers has a wide range of gaming options to choose from, with over 2,000 slots and table games on the floor.
Within the casino is a poker room, and Dacey’s Sportsbook where you can place all your betting options.
FireKeepers also boasts a large hotel with 446 guest rooms available. It also features seven different dining options, including a bakery.
The Event Center at FireKeepers hosts some of the biggest names in comedy and music at the venue regularly throughout the year.
