The 2023 World Number of Poker is reaching full velocity, roughly one-quarter of the way through the 95-event routine in Vegas.
The best is yet to come, too, as the series will be headlined by the $10,500 Main Event, which begins on Monday, July 3. I expect to break the record for the largest field in WSOP history, set in 2006 with 8,773 entrants, after falling just short last year with 8,663.
Michigan online poker players are in luck, as WSOP.com is running two promotions in June that will award $10K Elite packages.
For everyone staying at home in June, WSOP Michigan has much more to offer, including two series with over $500,000 in guarantees.
Two ways in order to earn the WSOP Top level seat
Almost all players who make a minimum $10 deposit using the code JUNE23 between June 1-26 will be eligible for a freeroll tournament on Wednesday, June 28, where the winner will earn a WSOP Main Event seat.
Eligible players will receive a ticket for the tournament and must register themselves before play begins. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Another drawing will take place on Friday, June 30, where players can earn entries by earning 50 Wagering Points in each of the four qualifying periods. Players can obtain up to four entries into the drawing, one per week ending on June 7, 14, 21, and 28.
The package also includes a $250 travel stipend and a three-night hotel stay in Las Vegas. The stipend will be added to the winner’s WSOP.com account to withdraw and use as desired.

The WSOP Main Event features one of the best tournament structures in the world, with two-hour levels throughout. This year’s edition has 11 days on the schedule, set to conclude on Monday, July 17.
WSOP on the internet tournaments within Michigan
WSOP hasn’t forgotten about those of you staying home for part or all of the summer, either.
Michiganders will have seven ring events all to themselves, one each Sunday from June 4 through July 16. Each event is a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a buy-in ranging from $300 to $600.
Additionally, the June WSOP Online Circuit runs through June 12. Its $525 Main Event takes place this Sunday, June 11, and another one follows in early July.
Sandwiched in between, the PKO Series takes place June 18-25 with 16 events, two per day, and $200K in total guarantees. Buy-ins start at just $33 and go up to $1,500.
WSOP The state of michigan Bracelet occasions remain ring-fenced
Michigan online poker players have enjoyed interstate competition since January 1 on PokerStars MI, but WSOP has been available only to players within the Mitten.
Unfortunately, WSOP’s software in Nevada and New Jersey remains archaic and unable to sync with the new platform Michiganders enjoy.
As a result, Michigan’s bracelet events are separate from – and smaller than – the 20-event schedule offered to the combined Nevada and New Jersey markets.
Hopefully, WSOP will prioritize an upgrade for its two main markets in the upcoming fall or winter to accommodate tri-state online bracelet events in 2024.
